Kane Injury Worries

Harry Kane has recently been declared out for 6 weeks, with an ankle injury. The injury will put him on the sideline until March, leaving Spurs without a key part of their attack. The Injury occurred during the premier league fixture against Manchester United last weekend. Kane’s injury was quoted as “damaged ligaments in his left ankle…”, a bad injury for any athlete to get.

Tottenham have a lot of important games in which Kane is scheduled to miss. Spurs face Chelsea in the second leg of the Carabao, they are needing to hold a 1-0 lead on aggregate. With Tottenham having lost the threat of Kane upfront, it will allow Chelsea to play a more attacking game. The Spurs defense is going to have to hold strong as Chelsea will throw everything at them to win.

The second set of games he will miss are in the champions league. Tottenham is facing Borussia Dortmund in the round of 16, a difficult attacking team who lead the Bundesliga. Dortmund is a well-coached, offensive-minded team. They brought in a young star in Sancho, which has added a lot of flair to their attack. These games will not be easy, and not having their star man Harry Kane will make it even harder.

Tottenham also has a lot of fixtures in the premier league where they won’t have Kane. The lack of their main striker means other players will have to step up if they hope to push for the title.

This injury is one Spurs truly did not want, it hurts then on many levels. Not only is Kane a prolific goal scorer, but he is a leader on and off the field, something they are now without. The club will be hoping for a quick return for Harry.
