Manchester City Transfer Window

Manchester City has been active in the transfer window already, with a young player already leaving. The team is also rumored to be in the hunt for a certain Italian league star, giving fans a lot to look into. With activity in the transfer window, Manchester City will be looking to catch Liverpool in the league as quick as possible.

Starting with the transfer which has already taken place, academy prospect Brahim Diaz. Diaz’s move to Real Madrid was finalized this weekend, he was signed for around 28 million dollars. Diaz has been in the Manchester City academy for a while, however when Real Madrid came calling he couldn’t resist. Diaz was quoted saying that it was ‘impossible’ not to join the Spanish giants. City also added a clause to the deal where they would receive a sell on fee for the player.

Manchester City is rumored to be linked with Juventus star Paulo Dybala, the 25-year-old Argentinian sensation. Manchester City is known for stockpiling talent and would be doing this again with Dybala. Since Ronaldo arrived this summer Dybala has had to take a back seat, which was undesirable for the young star. City is extremely good with their rotation of players, which is what makes them difficult to play. Adding the young spark Dybala to that already dynamic attack is exciting for fans, also terrifying for opposing teams. Juventus are supposedly putting a staggering price tag of over 100 million dollars for Dybala.

The manager of the club, Pep Guardiola said towards the end of December that he was not planning on transfers.

“I know my players and I won’t doubt them for a second. I know what they have to do. I never point the finger, I look in the mirror and instead ask what can I do to help them.” – Pep Guardiola

The above statement would seem to shut down rumors.
