The Spurs are Flying High

Tottenham Hotspurs are having an incredible December. They qualified for the champions league knockout stages, paired with moving up to second in the league table. With the majority of the Tottenham players back to health, the teams form has been at its best.

The teams December started exactly how they would’ve hoped, with champions league knockout qualification. With the most eventful, but at the same time exhilarating, the road to the knockouts it set Spurs off for a great December. The competition kicks off again in February, giving teams time to focus on their league and cup fixtures.

Spurs also secured qualification into the semi-final of the Carabao Cup, with a 2-0 win of Arsenal. The London rivalry was exhilarating, especially considering Arsenal beat Spurs at the beginning of December. Tottenham drew Chelsea in the semi-final, set to be a thriller in January.

Tottenham has taken advantage of this month, heading into the new year on the right foot. In the month of December Tottenham has won five games and only lost one. Picking up an impressive 15 points, Spurs have their last game against Wolverhampton where they will hope to pick up another three points.

With a strong December Tottenham will be hoping it follows through to January. With Arsenal six points ahead, Spurs need the Gunners to drop some points to spark their chase for the top.
