With a healthy squad, Spurs have shown they are one of the stronger sides in Europe, with world-class talent across the field. Keys to Spurs success will lie in a solid defense, and finishing their chances on the attack.
Starting with Spurs defense, Dortmund has scored 10 goals in the Champions League this season, around 1.7 goals a game. To be successful they will need to shut down lead goal scorers, Paco Alcácer and Marco Reus. These are not the only two threats on their team, they also have future stay Jadon Sancho to focus on. With quick wingers Reus and Sancho, wing backs Trippier and Rose will need to be on full alert avoiding crosses to Alcácer.
Looking at Spurs attack, Kane and his team will need to be active in the midfield providing chances for Kane. Dortmund has only allowed 2 goals against them in the group stages, which is only 0.3 goals a game. This form against some stiff competition in their group is impressive and gives Tottenham a lot to think about. With current performances from Dele Alli, his production has been key for their success. Harry Kane will need to lead by example, hoping to score a few to give Tottenham the upper hand.
