Early this morning Dele Alli signed a contract extension, keeping him with the team until 2024. The new contract sees Alli receiving a reported £100,000 a week contract, a big contract for the 22-year-old.
Alli is one of the game’s premium young midfielders, he provides; pace, skill, precision passing, and flair. Tottenham have restructured his contract three times since he broke the Tottenham starting 11, displaying their confidence in him. He has been dealing with an injury this season, however, he is back in the team and looking to improve his form. The team has been struggling in the last few weeks, having him back in full health will help acquire wins.
Tottenham locking down their young talent is key to their future, they gave Harry Kane a new contract back in June of this year. These moves by Tottenham are cost effective for the future and appeal to the fans as they’re British born talent. Dele’s growth has not stopped with his; passing, finishing and dribbling ability on the rise, making him a threat.
Tottenham will be wanting better results in the near future, to pose a title threat. Also, their desire to progress in the Champions League will fall a lot on Dele, as he is a creative mind in the midfield. When fully recovered and in full fitness, this Tottenham team will be great again, and for the foreseeable future.
