Coming off an amazing record-breaking season, Mohamed Salah is not looking like his normal self. He looks like a totally different player in his mannerisms on the pitch and his production for Liverpool FC.
In Mohamed Salah’s last seven games he has only scored once which is out of the ordinary for the Egyptian star. Mo Salah just doesn’t look very confident in front of goal as he did last season. In his eight Liverpool matches, he has failed to convert on six big chances. He is also shooting at 40% accuracy at goal which is lower then the percentage he kicked last season.
Not only is Mo Salah not scoring for Liverpool, but he is also playing extremely poorly all around the field. In Liverpool’s champion league game against PSG, with Liverpool up 2-1, Mo Salah delivered an extremely poor pass which automatically led to a Mbappe equalizing goal. If it wasn’t for some late-game heroics from Firmino, Liverpool would have only walked away with 1 point that night.
Overall, Mohamed Salah just looks like a different player. His mannerism on the pitch show lack of confidence. He is complaining much more than then last season which leads to bad production.
But can he bounce back? Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp thinks so. Kloop said ” There’s nothing to worry about. I’m relaxed about that [Salah’s form].” Fortunately, Mo Salah’s sub-par Performance hasn’t had a major effect on Liverpool success in the premier league season as they have won or tied all of their games and sit at third in the standings. But the deeper into the season they go the more Liverpool will need their superstar, Mo Salah.
